Year 8 School Climbing Taster Day at Harrison's Rocks
We had an amazing day introducing a group of Year 8 students to the excitement of outdoor rock climbing at the beautiful Harrison's Rocks in the heart of the Southern Sandstone.
Guided by a qualified instructor, everyone enjoyed a fun-filled day learning the basics of climbing in a safe and supportive environment. From putting on harnesses and learning climbing techniques to cheering each other on, the day was full of adventure, laughter, and new experiences.
Throughout the session, the students gained hands-on experience using climbing equipment, practising safe climbing techniques, and building confidence on a variety of beginner-friendly routes, all while enjoying one of the UK's most iconic outdoor climbing locations.
It was a fantastic day outdoors where everyone challenged themselves, supported one another, and created lasting memories on the rock.
